Be kind and grateful today.

Hugs to all that need it today. It has been a tough week for Canterbury as extraordinary men and women headed to work and devastatingly some never came home in the most tragic circumstances.

Today marks also marks four years of dramatic change for our hometown.

Take a Moment to be still and breath. Acknowledge and be kind to those you meet, including yourself, let someone in the traffic, buy someone a coffee, contact a loved one and tell them you love them. Be grateful that you woke up and have an opportunity to enjoy this day.

Gratitude has the ability to allow you to start considering all situations wisely with gracious eyes, to learn to be compassionate and embrace life’s roller coaster with a happier heart. Sometimes it means the situation hasn’t changed but your ability to cope with what you are facing does.

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”
 – Oprah Winfrey
